I just bought the brand new Mariah Carey E=MC2 CD and I thought it was great. I am a person who loves listening to all types of music and when I heard this CD, I wanted to share with some others whom I also thought might like the music.

This is one album that has a great variety of songs to relate to, such as Love Story, Last Kiss, Thanx 4 Nothin’, to songs to listen to while driving in your car like Migrate, Touch My Body, For the Record and Side Effects and then going to a song like Bye Bye when you are missing a loved one to some songs that gave me an 80s feeling like I’m That Chick or I’ll Be Loving You a Long Time. Has anyone else heard this CD? What do you think? I love getting CDs that offer a variety of music to meet any type of mood you might be in. Let me know if you agree. If you are on the fence as to whether to buy the CD, I say go for it because it truly is a great album.

My wedding is so close I can hardly believe it. It's less than two weeks away. We're pretty much set on most of the details and I can't wait!  The one thing I still need to do is come up with a track list for the karaoke portion of the reception (yes, I briefly considered having the entire wedding orchestrated in karaoke style, but it was really hard to find a karaoke minister…) — the trick is, in order to avoid having someone sing “Cat Scratch Fever” or something by Eminem at our wedding celebration, I’d like to restrict the song selection to love songs. Yeah, I know, I’m such a drag… While making such a list sounds really easy, it’s … not. Especially when you want to have a lot of songs so as to make it seem like people have a lot of choices even though you are stifling their inner diva. Luckily my awesome friend Lauren from work is an expert in all things cheesy and cool, especially when it comes to music (plus did I mention she happens to be an ABBA-ologist? It’s true.) and provided a quick list to get me started. Check out some of her picks:

I am so excited that Nashville Star is coming back for a sixth season and now its going to be on NBC! I love country music so much and I am excited about the success of the show, It is doing so well and a great way for these new country star to get exposure and boost country music's popularity. This so helps the public weed out bad country from good country. Have followed the show from Buddy Jewell to Angela Hacker and can't wait to see who the next country super star is!

It has now been 4 days since I saw Mamma Mia! with our Community Moderators and I still can’t get the soundtrack out of my head! Whether I’m in bed, in the shower, or on the treadmill, those catchy songs continue to delight (and haunt) me.  I’m sure many of you are still feeling the same way.

This is not a new addiction – merely a relapse of one that has presented itself every few years since the tender age of 6, when I frequently danced around the living room singing “Money, Money, Money” at the top of my lungs. I blame my father for getting me hooked, as ABBA is the only part of his Swedish heritage that he fully embraces and we owned every 8-track to prove it. Yet I have no one to blame but myself for buying tickets to see ABBA tribute bands, watching countless biographies and putting the ABBA box set on my Christmas list.
