When did we as a society loose the ability to laugh at ourselves? So I can understand some words sticking in a persons craw (and just what the heck IS a craw anyways?) for example the N word really gets to me as do a few other racial slurs but it has gotten to the point we can not even label a persons behavior anymore. Now I started thinking about this after realizing how many people are offended by the term mombie. Really I don't get it, it is not a slam on all mothers just the ones who happen to be self absorbed twits but really out hypersensitivity goes way beyond that. I am a proud redneck. Nothing will make me laugh harder than a good redneck joke except maybe a good newfie joke. In todays PC afriad to hurt anyones feelings world though a good joke is getting hard to come by. After all you can't crack aNewfie joke because someone may get their nickers in a twist and feel you are insulting their intelligence. If you crack a redneck joke someone is gonna be mad cause you implied they are low class (not me though I KNOW I am low class)
How about stepping back and just laughing instead of wondering how that giggle will reflect on you.
