Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve been crazy about the DC and Marvel comics universes. Learning the heroes and villains, their abilities, strengths and weaknesses, and their stories were very exciting to me and my fellow fans. The greatest disappointments were seeing them turned into motion pictures. Yet in to beginning, I, along with many other fans, were very excited to have our favorite comic book characters come to life on the silver screen. But our expectations were very disappointing. They reminded me of the time when I was a teenager, being introduced to a girl for the very first time blindly. Listening to her describe herself to me really had me excited and very interested; telling me that her hair was long and beautiful, her height, body shape and weight were all acceptable. Yet when I finally saw my blind date, she was nothing, in the least, like she described and expected. The same I see with the Heroes series. I truly believe that I am their # 1 fan. My disappointment comes because I do pay attention to detail. The story line has drastically changed. The whole title “Heroes” is not living up to its name. If they are normal individuals dealing with their new found abilities then well; but if they are going to do great things, to live up to the series’ title, then these will be the things fans will expect. I fear that the greatest TV series will have an early demise if this continues.
