My name is Davina Blackmon I am a 26 years old mother of two boys a 8 year old and 10 months old.I found God when I thought that he could never love me.This past year I have been blessed and highly favored and only now I know what that really mean.I dropped out of school at the age of 17 years old.I have been a single mother for 8 years.I married my grade School sweetheart a year ago when we meet again he was in a wheelchair and I fell head over hills in Love with him.He has been in and out of our lives all year.I found the power to pick myself up and stop using drugs.May,2008 may one year drug free.I started back to school for my GED in Jan. In June 10,2008 I took my last test and on June 18, 2008 I got my GED.I been in church faithfully for the last 8 months and I found what way I want to take my life.God gave me message one night by waking me up saying start your girls mentoring program in the church and you will make it.I want to help young girl in my town to find themselves before they lose there way.I know I'm going to have to have a lot of school to be what I want to be.I know GOD has planned a lot more for me than working in somebodies office. I have dreams to start outreach program for high risk teen girls ages 13 years and up.I want to teach them with the right guidance and faith that God can work it all out,and that life doesn't have to be bad at all.I want to show them the upside of life and the bad side of life from all different kinds of women.I want to give them the resources to build themselves up with books,helplines,physical contacts,and life goals.I want these girls to see for themselves what it is like to have a baby, talk to teen mothers, girls an young women of teen mothers,woman living with AIDS and HIV,STD's,women how have over come drugs,and women in prision.I want them to talk to Mothers who have lost there children to HIV or drugs.I want them to talk to women who have always had God and how has not and have been through the ups and downs of life but have made great lives for themselves.I want them to people from all kind of careers. I want them to have help with applying for jobs,school,and learning to deal with drugs and peer pressure.IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FILE FOR GRANTS OR ANYWAY I CAN FIND FUNDING

Ok i think im preggers. Which would make me happy. My period was a light pink, no clots (not trying to make you yak) and only made an appearance for three days. Ok two pregnancy tests later and they both said negative. One i might havee took to early and the other well who can tell if you pee to much or too little on those darn things. This day and age and all they can come up with is a stick to piss on. Great. But i feel preggers and pregnancy tests didnt work the first three months of my first pregnancy. Im so moody and tired and im neautious at night. Im waiting to see if my period comes up again but damnit i hate waiting. whats up people! does it sound pregnancy-ish to you????

Are you new to iVillage Connect and not sure where to start? There's a lot to see and do, but getting started is really easy. The best place to begin is to take the tour which highlights all the features you'll want to start using. When you're ready to start building your profile, log in and upload your avatar -- which is a photo of you that will represent your profile on the network. Of course you can use any graphic you'd like, but we'd love to see your shining face.  From the "Edit" tab, you can continue to build out your profile and add more information about yourself so others with the same interests can find you. Once you've handled the basics you might have more questions -- the best place to get them answered is by visiting our Frequently Asked Questions page or contact one of our friendly Customer Support team members and they'd be happy to help!

Hello Bob and Jillian,

I have missed the last two times to enter for the biggest loser and have been so sick because of it. Every time I try to enter, I would just go so blank when it would come to the video. I just could not bring myself to tape myself. I am watching tonight with tears wishing it were me and how I want to feel so proud of myself how I want so bad to acheive the same goal.

I know I need direction and to be in a atomosphere where I can focus on me. You see, I have gained 120lbs over the last 6 years and I am a 5'4" female who weighs 278lbs. I have not always been heavy but have been up and down, just not this big. If I may tell you how I came to be so heavy.

In short; I had a home built; first stress trigger, lost job started another; second stress trigger, moved less than a year later to take a relationship to the next level, to a place with no family; third stress trigger, another job. You see he was a youth pastor and I couldn't ask him to move. Finally, he asked me to marry. I did my own wedding planning and did all the invitations and programs and only had two weeks to plan and get married before we moved again. He was to attend Andrews University, fourth stress trigger. Shortly after the move I was informed my sister had cancer, stage four colon that had spread to her liver; fifth stress trigger. I was diagnosed with adreanal burn-out and suffered from bouts of depression therefore developed emotional eating.

I just turned 45 years old on April 2nd and have come a long way to see the sun again, but what is holding me down now, my weight. I do not know how to work out or even to begin. I have missed the last two chances to enter and am praying somehow I will be able to enter. I think you have closed the openings already though. I guess what I am asking is what or how do I get started? Help me please; I want to be me again! I want to be here for my 12 year old daughter, I am so scared because I have a lot of belly fat. Can you please help me?

It's been a while since I've updated you all, and I apologize -- but that doesn't mean that there's not been a lot going on behind the scenes. Our team has been hard at work to tackle existing bugs, add new features and spruce the place up a bit. In addition to the items I've listed below, we've tried to pay close attention to slight aesthetic changes that we hope will make your Connect experience more pleasant. Read on for the latest updates and please don't hesitate to add your suggestions and feedback.

New!
We've added a few new features recently that I think you will enjoy. Keep in mind this is just the beginning and we hope to expand on these ideas -- as well as implement other items -- very soon. 

Skins: You can now choose from a selection of new pre-formatted styles to jazz up your profile in a variety of colors and themes.  Even more are on the way! Have a suggestion for a skin you think iVillagers would love? Let us know!
Photo aggregation page: We now have a new Photo Aggregation Page (http://connect.ivillage.com/photos) that includes Featured, Most Viewed, Most Talked About & Top Rated Photos… stop by and share your pictures and see what other iVillage users are posting.
Browse Groups:  We’ve also added a page where you can Browse All Groups (http://connect.ivillage.com/groups/act/all), so now you can see just how many different groups you can Connect with.

Fixed:
These items were recently fixed and should no longer be causing errors on the site.

Group blog submission error:  Some users were seeing a "2100" error message when they attempted to post a new blog entry to their group. This should now be resolved.

Group owner errors: Some groups had indicated incorrect  owners or moderators on the group page. These issues should now be fixed.
Featured Photos: This feature should now be working correctly. You can select your favorite photos to share on your profile front page.
Comment display: For some blog comments, the comment text and comment options were overlapping in some browsers -- this has been addressed

 If you are  still experiencing an errors like these, please contact Customer Support to provide us with your details.

Working to Resolve:
We are currently working on the fixes to these items and hope to have them resolved very soon.

Individual Account Access issues:  Some users are having access issues, including being prompted to use another member name, being logged in with the wrong member name on their account or being prompted with a message to update their password. If you are experiencing an error like this, please contact Customer Support to provide us with your details.
Logging in: logging in from any page on Connect will currently take you back to the Connect home page. We are working to change this so that users are taken back to the page they were previously viewing.
Friend Request approval problems: Attempting to approve/reject your friend requests may result in an error.  We are working to correct this.
Group ownership: Maybe you started a group and you've run out of time to manage it? We're working on a way you can transfer ownership of your group if you do decide to step down.
Group management: We're working to make the management of your group easier and to extend management features to your group moderators.
