I'm trying to give the kids more interesting things to do other than the regular school work they do. So, in the excitment of Easter coming up we cut some egg shapes out of card stock and covered them with foil. Then... we got to the fun part - painting them!

I love the excitement and joy of Christmas; however, Easter has the overpowering emotions - the renewal of my Faith and Joy that cannot be compared to any other experience that I have ever had in my entire life! Anybody who knows me, is well aware of my deep devotion to God and my love for Jesus. I have been like this ever since I was a small child.
The stories that were told to me in Sunday School moved me to tears. Here was a Man who loved children and rebuked anybody who would keep them away from Him! This Man loved and cared for everybody - no matter who they were - what walk of life that they were from or what they had done! He even told people to "love their enemies." His Father loved us enough to allow His Son to die a terrible and painful death for us - for all of our sins past, present and in the future! The first person who was in Paradise with the Lord was a murderer! An ex-prostitute was the first evangelist to spread the Good News that He had risen! What was there not to love about this Man?
Yes, at Christmas, I do celebrate the birth of my Saviour; however, at Easter, I celebrate with the joy which lies so deep within my heart and soul, the agape love that abounds! I feel a Hope and Peace that no human being or living creature could ever give to me. May you find His Peace that passes all understanding this Easter.
