The frenetic pace of residential solar powered systems in Italy is shown by the numbers: we have come to 144 MWp connected to the network, of which 64.89 MWp very active over the past six months and a half. I think that in the second half of the record further growth in connections since, on one hand the number of outputs for small to medium size will grow rapidly, the other will connect to the network of various large size, particularly those systems less than 1 MWp that, just below the threshold of MWp, benefit in some areas of Italy authorization process faster. Think about that, if not far in 2005 were installed about 8 MWp throughout the year, the same power is now installed in just over two weeks. At this rate we can get to overcome, perhaps abundantly, the threshold of 150 MWp (only in 2008). I am convinced that the power that will connect to the network in 2009 will reach levels that would convince the skeptics that there is better technology of photovoltaics as a timetable for installations and environment. The numbers are also dispel another false myth that opposed the development of PV, namely the belief that with photovoltaics is not possible to achieve significant power. I remember also that the trend of the cost of PV is decreasing (the only energy source with cost reduction, and this is no small thing ...). The reason is the gradual reduction of grants related to energy that occurs every year in Germany (increasing), but also in Spain and Italy. Industry is thus proving to be able to follow the cost reductions required by the States. If we consider the enormous investment that the major companies in the world are doing in new production lines, then we can sure that photovoltaics will reach the so-called "grid parity" (competition in the traditional sources) within a few years. The most optimistic about 2012, the most pessimistic of 2018. What are 10 years (at most by now) in the history of energy? Nothing, especially when the revolutionary will to achieve such an extraordinary goal: electricity from the sun, non-polluting and easily available, I believe, at least 90% of humanity. Of course, we keep in mind that we are still talking about an intermittent source, which is always a substantial contribution from other energy sources, including fossil fuels. But if we add to photovoltaics wind, solar thermodynamic (which also has huge potential with the added advantage that allows the accumulation of energy production and therefore also in the absence of hours of sun), but above all the savings energy, then we can take to oil and gas for much longer than expected ... If the installations are increasing, the number of employees in the sector is increasing in all parts of the industry. A good law that provides a reliable framework for a few years, as the Italian Energy Account, it pushes people to invest their money and their time in "photovoltaics initiatives." And I think that we are still only beginning. The dynamism that is going through photovoltaics is also proven by the growing number of accessions that are recording the GIFI (Italian Photovoltaic Companies Group), which is part Enerpoint. I think that the role of the category of reference, the GIFI precisely is essential to consolidate development that photovoltaics is experiencing in recent months: on the one hand is more clarity on the front of the electrical connections (still too slow) and local permits (various interpretations of the laws too often impede the installation), on the other hand we also need to prepare when you will discuss a modification of the law of the Energy Account, so that the results that are not achieving the Following that you deserve. The GIFI was, is and will be the partner of reference for anyone who needs to update the laws that affect our industry. Enerpoint, for its part, continues to play a major role in the domestic market, even our numbers are growing and we are working to adapt the structure (both in terms of personnel and tools) to the challenges that await us behind the corner. Among the most significant of the latter period also mention the signing of new contract with Trina Solar 22 MWp of modules for 2009 (with other options MWp). We are very satisfied with the definition of this important agreement, the first true entry of Trina Solar has happened in Italy through its Enerpoint only a little over a year ago, with the launch of massive advertising campaigns that have made those important results that we have encouraged to continue and strengthen its partnership with Trina. In the coming weeks will close Enerpoint other major contracts with some of the main world producers of photovoltaic modules, reflecting the significant growth that we expect for next year is for the market generally and for our business in particular. Thus continues the policy of diversifying sources of supply of modules, which guarantees our customers not only the quantities that need, but also appropriate choice of product by size as well as technology. Do not forget the efforts that Enerpoint continues to do in order to provide a better service to installers who work with us, especially through the tools made available through our website. Among other things the same site continues to be a high number of accesses also from potential "customers" who use the simulator a lot to understand the system best suited to your case (some 33 thousand simulations in 6 months!) . We are very pleased that our efforts to obtain similar evidence. In short, I really believe that Enerpoint continue to play a major role in the dissemination of photovoltaic panels in Italy. Seriousness, commitment and professionalism can only lead to very positive results. For our part, in fact, I can only say that she put the whole, as we do now for over 7 years!
