Forever and Always

Monday, February 11th, 2008, 12:48 pm

This is our true love story by just someone like any other someone.

It all began in the summer of 1973. I lived in a typical s. calif. neigborhood  I was just 14  and new neighbors were moving in accross the street. I sat in my lawn hoping they had children. At last I spotted a girl that seem to be about my age. A little to shy at the time to go introduce myself I waited a few days to let them settle and for me to get my courage up.

A short time had passed and I really wanted to meet her so I made my way accross the street and to there front door. My heart pounding in my chest I raised my arm and knocked. To my surprise it wasn't a girl or a parent who answered but a teenage boy. He asked what I wanted and I stammered out my words that I would like to meet his sister. How embarrasing. He was shampooing carpets and she wasn't there. I wanted to forget that moment but that moment would forever change my life. I had just met my soulmate.

As time went on his sister and I did meet and we became best friends. I tried to forget the awkward moment of meeting her older brother. We did the normal teenage stuff shopping sleep overs and hanging out. We spent every evening walking their family dog. Soon enough that older brother started walking the dog with us and then after a while he would show up by himself to walk the dog with me. Meet me at myu bus stop to walk me home. Eventually I fould myself sitting across the street on my front lawn hoping he would appear and not his sister.

He would walk me to school carry my books and have his best friend give me a ride home. It was on one of those rides home on valentines day he handed me a pink envelope. We pulled up to my house he gave it to me. I didn't know what to do so I thanked him shook his got out of the car and ran to my door. Inside I stared at that pink envelope, I didn't want to open it. After a few moments I finally opened it, It said the wordsa I wanted to hear but also the words that scared me to death. I LOVE YOU.

I was just barely 16 and he was 17 and I knew he was the love of my life. We were insepperably the rest of High School proms, dates and every free moment we had. We even had a secret meeting place a little church yard.

Our parents began to take notice and they tried keeping us apart. I would end up on resstriction he would always have a job to do. In the summer they tried to keep us sepparated by vacations and camping trips. We were just to young to be that serious.

He graduated and was off to the Navy, I was still in school. This was not the end. We continued and our parents continued. After boot camp he returned and we made plans to marry. I finished highschool early and our parents gave in to the idea. So on March 12, 1975 I married the Love of my life, my soulmate. We were sent to Norfolk, Virgina. You would think that we lived happly ever after but this fairy tale took a turn once again and we became sepperated for 27 long years before reuniting once again. Soulmates are forever if you are lucky enough to find yours. I found mine all those valenetines days ago
