Baby's mind: I've been kidnapped

You really need to get a grip on reality. Kidnapping, be serious. First of all, why are you ASSUMING that this experience is the first time any of these babies have been separated from their parents. The children are being cared for and one or two nights of a child crying with only a stranger there to offer comfort will not permanently scar any child for life. Babies are a lot more resilient than most adults and they all were fine once reunited with their parents.

I highly doubt the babies think they've been kidnapped, it is only for a short time period and they are being watched and cared for. The kids probably have no idea what's going on and are reunited with their parents shortly thereafter. I think it makes for extremely riveting tv.

Nationally broadcast human experiments on unsuspecting participants who largely lack legal rights in this country for all the world to see. It makes me sick.

Daycare and strangercare may now be "normalized" in this country, but one only need look at the rates of youth suicide, poor health, and self destruction to get a clue about the results of abandoning one's child(physically, emotionally, etc) for extended periods of time.
