My boyfriend and I have been together for about 8 years now. We work together and are both in our 30's so we are not in a rush to get married. We're kind of the "Kurt and Goldie" with our friends and family. I've been in both my brother and sisters weddings in the past two years and I'm fine putting off all of the work that goes into the process for a while....either that or running off and doing it on a beach somewhere.
Last year, we were planning my sister's big wedding and, in turn, we attended a few bridal shows. One in particular that we managed to drag both our men to. Now, if you know what these shows are like, each vendor has a table that they set up to show off their wares or services. Wandering around the hall, my boyfriend and I would visit various tables and the experience was always the same....
The nice vendor would look at us and ask sweetly; "When is the big day?" My boyfriend....funny man that he is....wouldn't miss a beat and answer "She said No." Omigosh, the looks we got that day. Those poor vendors had no idea how to field that one.
