I'm sorry, but WHAT criteria were those judges using tonight? They picked all of the least funny people (the only bad guy they DIDN'T pick was the weird Southern dude) and eliminated everyone who was any good! The Muslim woman, the African-American lady, the one who did the bit about football, and the guy from Tahoe all had me in hysterics; I don't see how anyone could choose that boring British guy Foot over any one of them! Personally, I think it makes a big difference that both judges were white men, and I think NBC should consider that for next season; different kinds of people have different opinions about humor, and if you put two middle-aged white guys as the only judges, they're going to pick the humor that appeals to them, which may NOT be the kind of humor that would appeal to segments of the population that aren't middle-aged white guys!!! The panel should have had at least one female or minority judge on it to provide a different viewpoint.
On a related note, has anyone else noticed that it's impossible to email NBC with feedback about their shows (other networks, like Fox, are happy to get feedback through email)? You can join their panel and answer survey questions that they give you, but you can't give any independent feedback - I've been all over the website and there's no way to email NBC with my concerns, which seems to show very little respect for the viewers, IMHO.
