I triple agree that Maria Menounos is very wrong. She should not be hosting this show or any other show for that. She asks questions that you wonder what is she thinking? Like her comment to Kelli Rowland "its nice to see you smiling" and asking the other choir leaders "who would they vote for" What a dumb question. Shes an open mouth insert foot kind of person.

I think the OKC choir did an awesome rendition of "Joy to the World" and the other celebrities noted that. I also enjoyed the Cinci choir's version of "Flight of the Bumblebee" was fun and they also did a great job. I think the Philly choir is great as well...but does every song have to sound gospel? I thought it was about diversity. All of the choirs have branched out of the director's comfort zone except for that one. As to the celebrities themselves. I'm sure Patti is a good person at heart but she is coming across as full of herself. Michael did too at first, but he seemed to loosen up after the first couple of nights...maybe when the pressure was off. Blake broke the ice by joking around and Nick and Michael are picking up on it and doing a little themselves...the show needed it. Kelly comes across as a very nice person. They are certainly all different...maybe that is a good thing. I hate to see all the flack Maria is taking...I think her nerves got to her. This is a good show for the season...I have been enjoying it very much. I can't wait to see who wins. I'd like to see an upset! :)

HappyMom32, I am praying for you!!

These people have gone through alot in their lives and need support; they're not ACTORS.

Patti is a very spiritual woman and she's not faking.

What's up with the statement of Patti Labelle and HER PEOPLE?????????????

I am so glad to hear others say the same that I feel about Lachey's group. Flight of the Bumblebee, to ANYONE who knows anything about choral singing was an extremely difficult and risky move tonight, and they nailed it. The tempo, the range, they rhythms, and add in choreography on top of that? WOW! Of course it helps that they had Dr. Steve Zegree from Western Michigan University. He is the one who really deserves the credit for this choir. He is the one who taught the group, did vocal arrangements and turned them into true choral singers. Labelle's group is good, but I didn't think this was a gospel contest. I am tired of hearing the belting and pulling chest voice into the stratosphere. I am amazed that any of them have voices left after this much abuse. In the true spirit of choral singing and being diverse--Lachey's group has got it. As to Blake Shelton's group? The choir in an of itself is not bad, they have no direction and their so-called director is an a**. Everytime he opens his mouth it has to be some smart alec comment and I feel bad for his choir because he is not representing them in a respectful manner at all. They are working their hind ends off and they have to put up with him. His attitude is what gives country music a bad name. Go Cincinnati!

Okay, so as I was posting a few minutes ago about Team Lachey, I did note that Team Shelton was at that moment, their rendition of "Joy to the World", demonstrating what I felt was generally lacking. I think Michael Bolton was right in pointing out that Team Shelton utilized some "complex movements in the harmonies", to which Nick agreed, and I'm glad to see that, too. That's what I'm expecting to hear more of in choral singing!

CINCINNATI all the way...
Their performance tonight was nothing shy of amazing. It showed america how diverse that they really are. Nick is a huge advocate of the city and for that I applaud him! Merry Christmas to all the choirs!

Bring it home Team Cincinnati!!

I disagree with the comment about Team Lachey's performance of "Flight of the Bumblebee". As a choral singer myself, I know how difficult a capella singing can be, and they did a great job. Furthermore, too many of these celebrity choirs are only featuring one or two singers with the rest of the group chiming in occasionally with mostly unison background vocals.

Team Lachey did a fine job where each vocal part had to LISTEN to EACH OTHER, so as to pull be able to keep it together, on pitch and in rhythm. They get my vote tonight!

I know these groups are "pick up" groups that haven't been together long, but they need to better demonstrate what choral singing is about (as Team Shelton is doing right now with "Joy to the World").

Team Lachey has so much talent! Their christmas song was awesome! The soloists were great and showed their talent and fun side without OVERSINGING it like Patti Labelle and her people do. You know how some girls get full of themselves and they thing oh yeah I am THE STUFF im gonna oversing it to death and they all think they can be a maria carey. People like Beyonce and Jessica Simpson do that stuff and its sooo annoying. Its like ok u have some talent now get over yourself and sing like a normal person stop trying to show off cause u just look dumb and ppl are snickering at you right? Does anyone agree? Anyways Lacheys team didnt do that and i'm glad. Im sure dirty ole Papa Joe is sitting at home watching this show and kicking himself. Hahahaha! Go Nick! Hes adorable and he looks like hes having so much fun with this choir thing, his whole group looks fun.
