Awkward and embarrased after a gnat flew up my nose while doing yard work. If that wasn't bad enough, I tried to get it out with my left artificial pinky fingernail, which of course broke off inside my nostril. I panicked and took a breathe in from my nose sucking the artificial nail further up the nostril. I came inside and went to the bathroom where I tried to blow it out with no luck. Tweezers could not reach. I was making loud noises. I got the vacuum cleaner out and tried sucking it out with that...failure again. My fiance now baffled in the living room by the weird noises asked if I was okay? I had to reply "no, I think I need to go to the hospital". Laughing, he drove me to urgent care where the entire waiting room and the nurses laughed. The biggest laugh came from the Doctor who after several attempts and pulling out the gnat and yucky boogers, finally emerged with the artificial nail and proclaimed "I gotta show everybody this"! He paraded it through the nurses station where all the waiting room could see. Awkward is walking into the waiting room having everyone looking at you knowing that you picked your nose!!!!!
